HiCan someone please help me with this problem?Searching around, I've found some information, and I believe a 2008 terminal licensing server can issue 2008 TS user CAL's to a 2003 terminal server and they will allow users to login, thus not requiring me to purchase any 2003 TS user CAL's. Anyway, here's the problem.

We have a 2008 terminal server which is also acting as a licensing server with 50 2008 TS user CAL's installed and everything works OK. In the 'License Program' it says the type is 'Open' (I assume because we purchased our licenses on a volume licensing agreement). We have a need to install a 2003 terminal server and allow users to connect to it, etc. I've placed the 2003 server in the same domain as the 2008 machine, and if you go into licensing manager you can see the 2003 machine, however in the 'TS CAL Version and Type' field it says 'Temporary TS Per Device CALs' and the 'License Program' says 'Temporary'. Someone told me that I need to make the 2003 server the licensing server and install the 2008 CAL's on that, but I don't know, it's all very confusing.
Can someone tell me what I need to do to resolve this, or is just that I need to purchase 2003 TS user CAL's? Many thanks Mr Bojangles.
